Welcome to Don’t Forget to Check, a campaign dedicated to raising awareness of breast health and encouraging people — especially women — to stay informed, proactive and empowered.
Our Story
We were launched to address a critical need: many women (and men) postpone or overlook regular self-checks, screenings or discussions about breast health. Through creative outreach, we bring attention to this issue in a friendly, engaging way. For example, one of our standout initiatives involved teaming up with grocery stores so that produce like cantaloupes and honeydews were tagged with the message, “Have you checked yours?” pointing to this website.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple and clear: to encourage regular breast self-examinations, help individuals understand what’s normal, educate about early warning signs, and offer resources to make proactive health decisions. We believe that awareness paired with action saves lives.
What We Do
-
Creative awareness campaigns in everyday environments — making the message visible, surprising and memorable.
-
Sharing reliable information on breast health, self-check techniques and screening guidelines.
-
Partnering with institutions, communities, universities and businesses to broaden our reach.
-
Encouraging dialogue, reducing stigma and helping people feel empowered to talk about their health.
Why It Matters
Early detection of breast changes often leads to better outcomes. Yet many average-risk adults postpone checks due to busy lives, uncertainty or fear. By integrating awareness into everyday moments and environments, we make it easier to pause — just for a moment — and check in with your body.
Our Values
-
Empowerment — We believe everyone deserves to feel capable of caring for their own health.
-
Visibility — Awareness works when the message is seen, remembered and acted upon.
-
Respect & Compassion — We understand that health topics can be sensitive; our tone is supportive and non-judgmental.
-
Collaboration — Real change happens when governments, businesses, communities and individuals work together.
